Haricots Verts

These are the first of this year's harvest. There should be many more in the coming weeks.

Garden fresh green beans.

It's chilly this morning. Just under fourteen degrees - that's mid-50s F. It's supposed to warm up as the day progresses. I've got to get outside and weed the vegetable garden and pick up apples and cut the grass. So that's my plan.

Bonne recolte. btw are these green beans the fine ones that are known as French green beans? They don't seem to be or else my eyes are playing tricks on me :-)

  2. I'm a huge fan of green beans. These look so fresh and healthy. I'm jealous I can't grow them in my city apartment.

  3. beaver, yes, they are a variety called Adagio, extra-fine stringless.

muzbot, I know what you mean. I've had good luck with beans here and hope to have a good-sized harvest this year for preservation.
